Hi friends! Just a note, I’m answering these questions as a single shooter because Justin just shoots weddings with me. For any other type of shoot, you’ll have me!

How do I book my session?

Head on over to the “INVESTMENT” tab, and select one of the inquiry forms for the session you’re booking for: wedding, engagement, or portrait! Further instructions to follow :)

How would you describe your style of photography?

Heartfelt, intimate, joyous, authentic, and natural! In photography terms, I’m somewhere between dark and moody and bright and airy! I’m definitely a natural light photographer and only use additional lighting when absolutely necessary.

How long will my session be?

Sessions range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your package. And yes, session time is consecutive! You cannot divide your session into separate days or time blocks. You can choose whatever time of day you prefer for your session, but I would 1-2 hours before sunset depending on the length of your session.

What is your approach to photographing a session?

If you’ve already read my bio, this may sound repetitive! My goal approaching any session, is to capture the essence of what makes you, YOU! As a family, I want people to get a glimpse of the love and quirkiness that makes up your unit—laughter, tears, and beautiful chaos. As a couple, I want people to see what makes your relationship unique: the inside jokes, the tickle zones, the way you make each other laugh—or annoy each other lol—the way love takes over and overlooks any flaws and imperfections, and the way you emotionally relate to your significant other. As an individual, I want people to see what makes you, you. To see the heart and depths of who you are, to see what brings you joy, and to see all the unique aspects of your personality. Whether you are a family, a couple, or an individual, I want people to look at your photos and see a glimpse of who you are without even knowing you.

…That’s nice, but what if I’m awkward?

Oh, friend, I’m as awkward as they come, really—haha. But on a serious note, most of my clients have exclaimed about how comfortable they felt by the end of their session! Which is SO affirming for me to hear! But yes, I do help guide you with prompts and natural poses so that you don’t look stiff or “awkward,” and I help give small adjustments where needed so that you look great on camera! I can also assure you that I am going to be your number-one hype person while we’re together! So even if you feel nervous about your session, don’t worry, you’ll be having a blast before you know it, I promise!

Do you pick the location for my session?

Your session location is entirely up to you! However, I do provide an extensive list of locations/ideas near and around Atlanta. The list is by no means all of the amazing places you can have your session; it is just a handful of popular ideas! I would much rather you decide! I love shooting in new places. Some locations require a fee or permit for on-site professional photography. Your session fee does not cover any location fees or permits.

Do you travel?

Heck yes! I primarily travel for weddings, but I’m not opposed to traveling for portrait sessions as well. There may be a fee for locations outside the perimeter of Atlanta. I have wedding packages that are specifically catered to traveling for domestic weddings and include all travel and accommodations.

How many locations and outfit changes come with my session?

It honestly depends on the length of your session. 30-minute sessions are usually just one outfit and one location. 1-hour sessions are usually one location, and up to two outfit changes. However, travel and outfit changes are factored into your session time. 2-hour sessions are usually one to two locations. Again, travel and outfit changes are factored into your session. If the location for your session is outside of Atlanta (45 minutes-1 hour), only one location is recommended.

How many images do I get with my session or wedding?

There isn’t a set number of images! I try to deliver all of the best images from your session. My goal is to have enough coverage to tell the full story of your session, quirks and all. So, an hour-long session can be anywhere from 50-70+ images, but often more! Weddings are about the same per hour as well, so anywhere from 400+ photos.

How will I receive my images?

Via an online gallery! You can share the link and download the photos to your phone or laptop.

How long will it take to get my photos back?

Turnaround time for portrait sessions is usually between 1 and 2 weeks. If there will be a delay, I will let you know ahead of time! High volume is typically the only reason for a delay. For weddings, turnaround time is usually 6-8 weeks. Tangible products, such as prints and albums, are an additional 2-4 weeks.

When you edit photos, what exactly do you edit?

My editing includes color corrections, blemish or lint removal, and minimal skin smoothing. I also remove any accidental skin damage, like burns or scabs, that happened in the last thirty days prior to your session. I don’t remove birthmarks or more permanent things unless requested. I also often remove things from the background in images at my discretion. There is an additional fee per image for any further retouching requested. I do not do body alterations, it’s important to love yourself just the way you are! My retouching is as natural as possible.

Can I have RAW files or unedited images?

Unfortunately, no. Edited images also reflect my work, so I do not give out RAW files or unedited images. I promise you wouldn’t want them anyway!

Do you sell prints, albums, or wall art?

Of course! Ordering print materials and heirlooms is so important! It’s one thing to have your memories on your device; it’s a whole different experience having them in your hands, on your walls, coffee tables, or dressers. Your memories come to life and provide a shared and cherished experience for your family, friends, and guests! You can order products at any point in time!

How do I pay for my session? Do you require a deposit?

I accept major methods of payment. Zelle, Venmo, and PayPal are preferred! Session fees are due at the end of the session. Wedding photography must be paid in full before your wedding day. Yes, I do require a deposit/retainer. For portrait or engagement sessions, a deposit of $100 is required to secure your session. For weddings, one-fifth of your wedding package is required to secure your wedding date. Deposits/retainers are non-refundable.

Do you offer payment plans?

Portrait sessions are usually broken up into two payments: the deposit and the remaining balance. For weddings, I usually break up payments evenly in the time leading up to your wedding, and if needed, I sometimes accept payments up to two months after the wedding day. You cannot receive your images or tangible products until your balance is paid in full.

What if it rains?

If rain is on the forecast, I typically discuss rescheduling with you. However, before securing your session, we usually decide on 1-2 backup dates just in case of inclement weather!

Do you have a second shooter?

Only for weddings! My husband is my incredible second shooter!

What gear do you use?

I have two full-frame Canon R6s. I often shoot with both cameras at once, using a super hip dual camera strap! I have a ton of prime lenses, which are my favorite. My go-to lenses are a Canon 35mm 1.4L, Canon 85mm 1.4L, and Canon 50mm 1.2L.

How long have you been a photographer?

I shot my first wedding in 2014, and haven’t turned back since!
